Our founder, Sri S.F. Goutam Chand hails from Shikaripurataluk of Shimoga district in Karnataka. Having completed his schooling in Government institutes at Shikaripura, he shifted to Bangalore to pursue his BA/LLB degree at University Law College, Bangalore. He belonged to the first batch of the 5 year law course, during the course of which, he was elected the President of the Law College Students’ Association, and was recognized for his performance in various debates and model parliaments. He was also actively involved in public movements such as the Gokak, Mandal, and Farmers’ movements during his college days. From 1989-90, he served as the Vice President of the Karnataka State Student Janata Dal. These experiences inculcated in him a passion for righteousness, and the courage to question authorities where required.

In 1992, he enrolled as an advocate, and his desire and vision culminated in the founding of our firm. He gradually earned recognition for himself as an advocate adept at integrating legal advice with the business considerations of clients, such as risk management, reputational management, and the holistic growth of businesses of varying natures. He also invested great efforts into building a team of advocates with integrity, an ability to actively listen and comprehend the nuances involved in the issues faced by the clients, and a knack for coming up with innovative and pragmatic legal solutions.

Since 2016 he has been the President of the University Law College Alumni Association (Registered), and has invested great effort and capital into developing the next generation of legal minds. Since 2018, he has been an elected member of the Karnataka State Bar Council, and has served as the Chairman of its various committees, including- the Disciplinary committee, the Executive committee, and the Finance committee. From 2020 to 2022, he served as the President of the Karnataka State Bar Council Law Academy.
